91³Ô¹Ï’s Edinger and Kiecker Honored by Student Senate

VALLEY CITY (91³Ô¹Ï) – 91³Ô¹Ï Student Senate has announced its Student Advocate and Teacher of the Year awards, spotlighting the accomplishments of Erin Edinger and Lindsey Kiecker.
Edinger, 91³Ô¹Ï Director for Residence Life, was voted the 2025-26 Student Advocate of the Year. Students spoke about her supportiveness and the empowerment she brings to students across campus, highlighting her ability to create a welcoming environment where they feel safe, respected, challenged and encouraged to share ideas. Students describe Erin as friendly, kind and approachable, and Student Senate is grateful for her endless hard work and dedication to the campus and the students.
Kiecker, assistant professor in the Department of Science, was voted the 2025-26 Teacher of the Year. Students describe Kiecker as an amazing and dedicated professor who goes above and beyond in and out of the classroom. They highlighted her ability to get to know students as people, how she takes the extra time to prepare them, and her willingness to explains concepts in greater depth when needed. She is a welcoming face at 91³Ô¹Ï, and Student Senate is thankful for her dedication to the students and campus.
The Student Advocate and Teacher of the Year awards are selected by 91³Ô¹Ï Student Senate after receiving nominations from students.
